Trump’s Visit

Summary

Trump’s Visit Word on the Week 12th September 2026.
Few visitors to Ireland have caused so many mixed feelings as President Trump. There have been rumours of hostile crowds which have given the keepers of law and order major headaches as how to adequately protect him from harm.
His visit is unofficial but because of his persona it attracts massive attention. No other President has flown in on his own Boeing 747, stayed in his own luxury hotel and golfed on his splendid golf course at Doonbeg!
His arrival will cause a minor disruption to the Irish Open Golf Championship which has just passed the midway mark of the four-day event. Trumps enthusiasm for the game means he probably has his clubs with him and will enjoy mixing with the professionals and playing a few holes!
The fact that the golf was the catalyst for the visit does not mean he sets politics aside. He detected the rawness of Andy Burnham’s (the UK’s Prime Minister) comment that unification of Ireland was “Off the table” and did not hesitate to put his finger into the wound in favour of Irish unification.
He also teased our politicians with has intention to recall all the US pharma companies in Ireland – but not now! He knows how much our revenues depends on their (and other high tech companies) taxes!
He gives God the credit of saving his life from the three assassination attempts on his life. He shows little fear of a fourth attempt which is probably a major factor in his popularity with his rank and file American supporters. The voters among them are being encouraged to give him their vote in the mid-term elections in November with the carrot of €5,000 (the Trump dividend) should he retain both houses of Government. At age 80 he is amazingly keen to retain his job!
During his two periods in Office Paula White (born April 20, 1966) charismatic pastor, author, televangelist and has been his spiritual advisor for some time. She is an exponent of the health and prosperity gospel and has written several books. She is a leader in the Charismatic Movement. Last year Trump announced the creation of the White House Faith Office with Paula its head.
Jesus said; “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them (Matthew 7 to 20).
